COERR Offered Learning Activities in Child Friendly Spaces throughout September

   In September 2019, there were 1,284 children attending Child Friendly Spaces in Ban Mae La, Umpiem and Nupo Temporary Shelters.

   COERR focused on organizing several art and play activities which promote child development in 4 dimensions: Physical development through play activities to encourage gross motor development and art activities like drawing and painting that they use hands and eyes to encourage fine motor development; Emotional development, in which they create and appreciate the beauty of art; Social development, in which they learn about team working, waiting patiently for their turn to play, and sharing materials in Child Friendly Space (CFS); Cognitive development in which they use mental process in learning about shape and size, width and length, big and small, smooth and rough, etc.

   Moreover, children were taught how to make use of recyclable materials to become new materials, according to their creative skills; promote their controls of hands and eyes; support team work activities; work step by step to create neat work.

had 569 children attended

   Learning Activities offering in Ban Umpiem Temporary Shelter had 560 children attended in Drawing and Painting, learning to read the Thai and English alphabets, knowing about flags of many nations, about animals; and learning about playing together and how to use materials in the Child Friendly Space.
